sewu

800m north of prambanan lies another temple complex which predates the former temple by a century. unlike prambanan, candi sewu is a buddhist temple and the second largest in central java after borobudur. the view from the entrace towards the stupa shaped roof temples, guarded by a pair of dvarapala (giant) statues. february 2011.
