yes it is. and really cold for a tropical climate.
There’s a small version of this, and MUCH drier, not far from us in Texas, and I’m longing to stop and photograph it even though it’s apparently on private property. Nice shot of it!
does the place has any photos on the net? if i’m not mistaken, this caldera is 10km (6 miles) at its widest.
Is this a fault line from an eathquake area?
hi jane, it’s a dried runoff from rainfall and part of the drainage basin inside the caldera.
