Great shot! Were you in the tree?
i was on the ground and they were up on a tree next to our chalet. π
Haha! That is cool! π
So cool!!
thank you sherry!
what a funny sweet looking monkey! I have never seen such an animal before. Gorgeous shot.
haha. one of the main reasons my family and i visited the place was to actually see them in the wild and we were lucky to be visited by them on the morning of the our last day. thanks marina.
you’re lucky!
He’s handsome!
and he reminds me of jimmy durante. π
Unbelievable yet beautiful
Excellent pic
Aussie Ian
thank you ian. it was quite an experience.
Wow! How gorgeous!
thanks guys. really appreciate it.
Wow. Animals are amazing and the op to photo them always a blessing.
thank you tracy. spending 2 days and a night in the park weren’t enough. i guess i need to haul my family back there again for another adventure.
Wow, such beautiful animals, I have never seen them, thank you for posting π
you’re welcome!
What strange yet seemingly likeable creatures.
indeed they were, they moved in a group silently next to us at the cafe when some of the visitors spotted them while having breakfasts.
Quite a nose. Jimmy Durante, actor, comedian, singer was known for his nose and parlayed a career with it.
and they were also known locally as “orang belanda” meaning dutchman. must be the colour (or the nose). π thanks victor.
This is truly amazing!
Maybe bumping up the contrast a little bit could make the monkeys stand out even more.
the rain had just stopped when i managed to follow the monkeys and snapped this photo. thanks for the advice, i’ll keep that in mind. π
These monkeys always make me laugh. Their noses give them a very serious demeanor. This is a nice shot of them. I keep expecting him to talk like Jimmy Durante! π
it was captivating to look at them and their prominent noses up close while they mingled around us at a safe distance. yes, i was already mentally prepared for him to croon his way ala jimmy but they were really quiet as if trying not to disturb us.
Intriguing creatures! Nice that they weren’t frightened by their visitors . . .
they were ignoring us and just moved from tree to tree in their group. it was quite a sight!
