Cool photo.
thanks joakim!
You are welcome.
amazing photo…beautiful !!!
that’s a great compliment, thanks sorin!
sweet sweet! and sooo tiny compared to those gorgeously huge Redwoods. I love the color pink against the B&W…nice!
this is one of my favourite, thanks judy!
How cute, but she looks like she’s hoping those giant trees don’t catch her.
haha! yeah, i like the frozen look that she had on her face, like a lost little
redpink riding hood!Well photographed and very beautiful
Aussie Ian
thanks ian! it was kinda dreamy ~ being tiny and surrounded by those giant redwoods. i fell in love with that place instantly.
Love the selective colour here.
Amazing perspective and great shot mate!
muchas gracias, pablo! 🙂 glad that you liked it.
Very beautiful.
thank you!
Wow…that’s great, really does give a sense of proportion. Love the expression on the girl’s face.
and she was thinking “i prefer a playground”. haha.
When I grow up….
Super photo!!!
:). thanks man.
Wonderful sense of scale and love the selective toning.
thank you tracy, really appreciate it.
Loving this shot!! 🙂 **
thank you xandre!
lovely shot!
many thanks graham!
What a beautiful child. The contrast in size really makes it clear how tall the trees really are. I like the angle of the photo and having the child standing there!
thank you george. really glad that you like it.
BTW…what interests me here is that you seem to be looking down on the child, but the shot reaches upwards toward the tree. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that kind of tension in a photograph. What angle were you shooting from here?
if i’m not mistaken, i was standing at the time and captured the photo using a sigma 10-20mm superwide lens. and at 10mm, the angle pretty much covered everything from her feet to the towering redwoods. 🙂
The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man, the poetry of the earth is never dead… great caption indeed!
i am honoured dugutigui. cheers!
I love this picture! The girl is cute!
thank you for visiting my blog ana. the girl is now 4 years old, longer hair, but still curly. 😀
Gracious! A beautiful child in a majestic setting, and a wonderfully processed photo. Love it.
thanks kathryn. i’ve always been fascinated by the redwoods ever since i first watched hitchcock’s vertigo ages ago and the rotorua redwoods are the nearest to malaysia to visit since california and the pacific northwest are too far away. 🙂
Belle dimension
thank you so much photobach!
she has an apprehensive(perhaps) look-I like the photo and how it is done. Jane
thank you jane. she still has the same look, i guess it’s because of the eyebrows. 🙂
