  1. I ate one of these once. I didn’t really notice much of a smell because my nose is very weak, but everyone around me thought it was awful. The taste was pretty good.

I like how intensely textured this photo is. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I like this photo. These look smaller than the ones I have seenn – are they lychee size? Even Andrew Zimmern, who hosts a show called Bizarre Foods cannot stomach the smell and taste. someone told me to start getting used to it as an ice cream flavour, and then work the way up. they sell these in chinatown but I have never bought it! Have you tried it?

    • haha, of course, wifeโ€™s a big fan! ๐Ÿ™‚ ten years back, this fruit was seasonal. now we can get it all year round. some dessert shops got creative and serve durian sweet porridge, eaten with glutinous rice and even durian pancakes, too.

the average size is almost similar to a netball, and the taste are varied; sweet, bitter or a combination of both. depending on how you like it.

watched that episode too on the travel channel, canโ€™t believe this guy, he gobbles everything, albeit too wimpy to face the king of fruits!! ๐Ÿ˜€

you should give it a try, and maybe youโ€™ll get hooked up to it!! ๐Ÿ˜€
