The giraffes are asking “how’s the weather down there?” 🙂
and we were stunned, in trance, we bought some lettuce and leaves and fed them right away! 🙂
So many ‘likes’ and no comments…. it’s a pity, because if you like it, it’s worth a commond. So, I love this picture because it’s feels like the giraffes come to you. And I like the editing to b/w. Good job 😉
thank you so much yvonne! the giraffes actually came to us because we got something in our hands that they pretty much craving for, lettuces and leaves! 😀
I agree, to ‘like’ is not enough for this excellent photo. By the way, the giraffe has seven cervial bones just like humans. Really!
hi victor, i didn’t know that they have the same 7 cervical bones with that elongated neck. thank you for the trivia. 🙂
Great photo…giraffes are just so cool !! They don’t get enough exposure (no pun intended).
i guess it’s because they are too friendly (or characteristically bland) and no drama/action comes from them. 🙂
It’s refreshing to see giraffes in bl & wh, so as not to be distracted by their colors. Great shot.
thanks elena. the original colour version wasn’t so great so i had to convert them to b&w. 🙂
This made me smile- great perspective!
glad that you like it!
Truly amazing! What perfect timing. You’ve processed this beautifully as well! I can’t stop looking at it!
haha. i’m all smiles now. thank you so much!
The lighting in this photo is out of this world! I’m always looking at tones and lighting with black and white photos and this one reminds me of days in Brazil. The sky would be so sunny and then suddenly out of nowhere the dark storm clouds would roll in from the distance, even though we still had a very sunny sky just above our heads. This picture reminds me of that. I almost expect a downpur from this picture. Glad you had fun with the giraffes. My son told me about the neck bones too a few days ago! 🙂
haha. thanks java girl. i have the same feeling, longing for my childhood years living in the countryside, about 460km north of kuala lumpur. that’s why i try my best to involve my children into my love of nature as well. for the time being, it seems like it is working, and hopefully for the years to come. 🙂
