while driving through arthur’s pass national park, 35 km south of arthur’s pass village, we came upon this scenic lake, lake pearson, surrounded by purple hill (left) at 1,879m, broken hill (far centre) at 1,485m and mature willow trees on the lakeshore, albeit leafless. however it gave thoughtful and morose feelings in each of us of leaving those wonderful places behind and fully ingrained in our memories as moments never to be forgotten. june 2010.

strategizing in a game against an imaginary opponent is not an easy effort! the newly acquired the lord of the rings: the confrontation (deluxe edition) is a 2 player half an hour game that i set up just to get the feel and look of it but sadly devoid of any opponents (for the time being). and being a collector more than a player, i look forward to the time and place where i will be surrounded by zack, alif and yomi, all getting pumped up and deeply involved in the game, my 122nd, hopefully pretty soon. july 2011.
